in March 2018, Tiger Striped Misfits was born

Shortly after the crash of Jolly 51 in western Iraq, Jake and I were thoroughly inspired by the efforts of WRMFZY in hosting a raffle that raised over $60k for families and loved ones. We immediately began collaborating with our Active Duty friends to build our footprint in an industry congested with the same cookie-cutter clothing brands. The result was simple, Paying Back Those Who Paid It All. Unlike most veteran and active duty-owned companies, we take home very little profit. Simply put, it’s not about us, it’s about the community. With those few core values solidified Tiger Striped Misfits was born.

We are a collective of Active Duty US Air Force and US Army members spread across the country with a common goal of bettering our military community. The founding members come from Air Force Services, Security Forces, Air Force EOD, and Army Aviation. This broad spectrum of personalities enables us to have massive community outreach and the ability to easily identify and contact those who need our help.

Keeping the community in mind is our primary goal. The comparison to The Blues Brothers is easy to recognize. Jake and Elwood’s goal is to raise enough money to save their childhood orphanage. Of course, they can’t do all this on their own so they have to get their old blues band back together to help. The community is the orphanage; the amazing people who help our cause along the way and show us unwavering support are the band.
